A petition to know the truth behind "aliens"...

Many people these days are becoming more and more eager to know the truth behind the existence of these what we called 'aliens'. I even read in the news that a petition is now on the process to force the authority to provide clear explanations regarding these extraterrestrial being. It is further stated there that for many years now UFO followers have insisted that the US government is covering up data about alien visitations. A brand new White House program has given them an avenue to force the government for data. A petition has been submitted and has gathered more than the necessary number of signatures. I think the respective Huffington Post article has some good points. And the main problem I see is indeed the fanatism of some of the "UFO believers". As you indeed can see from their request, they won't take a "There have been no extraterrestrial visitors on Earth." for an answer even if it is the truth. And all facts in support for this answer will be ruled out as  a cover-up.

I wonder, why the believers never seem to be irritated by the fact, that so many UFOs seem to visit anglo-american countries, while they don't seem to have so much interest in others. I'm from Germany and here most people don't believe in UFOs. Maybe that has something to do with our distance to Hollywood....

I want to believe that UFO's

I want to believe that UFO's exist. I want to believe in Bigfoot, Yeti, and the Loch Ness Monster too. Unfortunately there isn't any credible scientific evidence for any of these things. A key element of science is that something needs to be repeatable. Show me some real hard repeatable evidence and then we can have a discussion.
