Robert Ackermann resignation from the SETI Institute

Yesterday, Jill Tarter accepted my resignation from the SETI Institute.  Unfortunately, activity in the setiQuest forum has significantly diminished; however, I am posting this information so that it is known to the community that after June 30, 2011 contributions I might make to the setiQuest forum and elsewhere will be independent -- not representing the SETI Institute.

I am very sad to hear this, Rob! On the other hand I'm looking forward to your contributions as an independent :) It's difficult to figure out what is happening behind the doors, but I suspect you have significantly contributed to make SI think a little harder about how they do business.

Hello Rob. Your leaving is an unfortunate loss for SETI and you will be missed. I treasure all the DSP and setiData conversations we have had. I even learned a few new concepts from you, thanks. Good luck and stay in touch.
