The Archiver is the SonATA subsystem that writes science data from the DXs to the disk archive.

The Archiver is a separate module that communicates with the seeker via TCP/IP sockets. Each DX opens a socket connection to the Archiver. When a candidate is identified, the DX sends to the Archiver the confirmation data (also known as complex amplitudes) for a 16-subchannel band centered on the candidate signal. The Archiver then writes this data to disk for possible post-processing.
